The Isla North Seymour, or simply the North Seymour Island, is an island located close to Baltra Island and is part of the Galapagos Islands archipelago. The North Seymour Island was formed as a result of a seismic uplift of a submarine lava formation, and was named after Lord Hugh Seymour. The entire island is covered with some low and bushy vegetation. The island covers an approximate area of approximately 1.9 square kilometers and reaches an altitude of about 28 meters. North Seymour Island is better known for the bird species it hosts like the swallow-tailed gulls, blue-footed boobies, and one of the largest populations of the magnificent frigate birds.
