Guayaquil (Quito), Ecuador Cruise Port

Guayaquil is Ecuador’s largest city with more than 3 million people. In the past few years, the city has made an effort to improve its outlook by building the Malecon, a walkway along the river with shops and restaurants. With new developments popping up, there are also lots of historic spots being preserved. The city is also developing its arts scene with lots of theaters and galleries to attend, plus lively nightlife. Here are some of the featured activities to do when you are in Guayaquil, Ecuador:

  • Head to the Bosque Protector Cerro Blanco, a tropical dry forest, where you can take guided or self-guided walks to explore this wonderful environment.

  • The Museo Municipal has a wide range of Incan and pre-Incan artifacts on display. Here you can learn about the tribal history of this land and several of the Incan customs.

  • Go fishing at Salinas beach. You could also swim, surf or do any number of water sports at this spot which is very popular with the locals.
