Cunard Line Accessibility
Cunard’s fleet has a number of handicap accessible staterooms and welcomes passenger with limited mobility. However, Cunard does not provide wheelchairs or scooters to use onboard, so you must bring your own. You must also be booked into a wheelchair accessible stateroom if you choose to bring your mobility device onboard. As always, please discuss any accessibility issues or concerns you may have with your cruise consultant.
Embarkation/Disembarkation Assistance
Guests boarding Cunard ships that have mobility disabilities will be met at the cruise terminal by specified members of the Mobility Assistance Team to show them to their stateroom.
Hotels Stays and Transfers
If a Cunard passenger has booked a pre- or post-cruise hotel stay through the cruise line, the cruise line will ensure they have access to an adapted hotel room.
Accessible Staterooms
All Cunard ships feature staterooms with wide doorways and extra floor space for wheelchair accessibility. Bathrooms feature grab rails, raised toilet seats and pull-down shower seats if requested.
Hearing Impairment
Cunard offers a visual alert system, textphones, and even infra-red hearing support in theaters and lounges.
Visual Impairment
Cunard offers dining menus, programs and safety information in large print. The emergency information is also available in Braille, along with Braille cabin numbers, elevator buttons, etc.
Assistance Dogs
Dogs that have been specially trained to aid those with disabilities will be accepted aboard Cunard ships, assuming they have documentation from Assistance Dogs International or International Guide Dog Federation.
Accessible Shore Excursions
For those who use a wheelchair full time or will be unable to board a bus, Cunard Line provides a separate shore excursion guide with information on accessible excursions that may be available.
