Things to Do on a Caribbean Cruise with Cunard Line

Enjoy the beautiful sunshine of the Caribbean by cruising with Cunard Line and visiting the beautiful beaches and jungles. Take in the culture by learning to play the steel drums in St. Lucia or seeing how batik is made in St. Kitts. Don’t forget to explore the waters that surround these islands by snorkeling or swimming. Featured below are some of our favorite things to do when cruising the Caribbean with Cunard Line:

Cunard Line Panorama of Basseterre, St. Kitts
  • Amazing Grace and Romney Manor (Basseterre, St. Kitts)
Learn about John Newton, who was so transformed by his visit to St. Kitts that he became a member of the clergy. He eventually became an abolitionist and wrote the popular hymn “Amazing Grace.” You’ll also visit the Romney Manor where you’ll learn about batik, the artistic technique of dying special cloths.

Cunard Line Coast of Oranjestad, Aruba
  • Seaworld Explorer (Oranjestad, Aruba)
Go underwater in the Seaworld Explorer, a semi-submarine. You’ll go on a narrated tour of the underwater landscapes off the coast of Aruba. You’ll see plenty of tropical fish, along with the largest wreck in the Caribbean – a 400-foot long German freighter.

Cunard Line Beach in Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands
  • Jost Van Dyke Beach and Lobster (Road Town, Tortola)
Enjoy views of the island’s beautiful sites as you take a boat ride to Jost Van Dyke beach. Spend some time along the beautiful white sand beaches of Jost Van Dyke and then head to the lobster buffet luncheon at the Oceans 7 Beach Bar.

Cunard Line St. Lucia Arch in Castries
  • Stonyhill House and Steel Pan Experience (Castries, St. Lucia)
Explore the grounds of the Stonyhill House, featuring over an acre of tropical gardens. After a tour of the building you’ll hear a local steel drum pannist play as you enjoy fruit juice and some local treats. Then you’ll visit Gros Islet to learn a few steel drum panning techniques of your own.

Cunard Line Beach in Philipsburg, St. Martin
  • Philipsburg by Bike (Philipsburg, St. Maarten)
Get a workout and a great view as you bike along Point Blanche Road. You will see St. Maarten’s oldest hotel, the historical courthouse and Fort Amsterdam. On the last leg of the ride you’ll stop at Great Bay Beach where you can take a dip in the ocean.

Cunard Line Floating market in Willemstad, Curacao
  • Curacao Creations and L’Aldea (Willemstad, Curacao)
Visit an aloe vera plantation where you’ll learn about the many uses of this plant. At the next stop you’ll see the famous Chichi figurines created at Serena’s Art Factor. Lastly, visit L’Aldea, a historical amusement park which has replica Mayan and Incan temple ruins.
