The interesting city of Ghent, Belgium was once known as the second largest in all of Europe during the 13th century. Today, it is still flourishing with ancient architecture and many exciting landmarks. Located along the Scheldt River, this town is known to have a colorful history. It boasts a very impressive cathedral that has Jan and Hubert van Eyck’s Adorations of the Mystic Lamb, one of the greatest Flemish paintings of the time. When visiting Ghent during your cruise, spend some time touring its impressive art and design museums, walking about the picturesque embankments and basking in its finely decorated historic gables. • Explore the Cathedral of St. Bavo that houses the famous Adorations of the Mystic Lamb masterpiece, by Jan and Hubert van Eyck.

• Located next to St. Michael’s Church, you will find the St. Michael’s historic bridge that gives a very old world charm and poses as a great photo opportunity.
