We had a truly wonderful experience on the Amacerto. Everyone on the staff was friendly, courteous, and most helpful. They went the extra mile to ensure that the passengers had a great time on the cruise. Our cruise director, Nickola, was absolutely fantastic! He was informative, energetic, and caring. He showed genuine concern for everyone and made sure that every excursion went smoothly and efficiently. We would highly recommend AMA Waterways to our friends and relatives. BTW... the onboard meals and entertainment were outstanding!!
Pros: the entire cruise was fantastic! brilliant!

I recently sailed on the AmaCerto from Amsterdam to Basel, for the Christmas Markets. I cannot say enough about AmaWaterways, they are an excellent river cruise company and take exceptional care of their guests onboard. The ship was stunning, very warm and welcoming. The ship was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with wreaths are each stateroom door. The onboard activities really got us into the spirit of Christmas, from tree decorating with mulled wine to Christmas carols with the staff and a visit from Santa with gifts for all. One evening we placed a shoe outside our door to be filled by St. Nick. Such a fun surprise! Due to the high water levels on the Rhine and a portion of the river closed, we had a slight change in itinerary that involved a ship swap to the AmaPrima (another beautiful ship). This change was communicated my Matija the Cruise Manager and the Captain in such a professional and reassuring manner. The change was seamless and the replacement ports and excursions did not disappoint. The ports and Christmas Markets were amazing. The decorations, lights, crafts, food and warm drinks were fabulous.
Pros: Beautiful experience with fabulous ports, food and service. Great options of shore excursions and level of activity for tours.
Cons: Would like to have more time in ports at the Christmas markets. Local entertainment onboard was lacking a bit.

This was our first cruise on AMA. Very impressed and ready to go again. It was great.
Pros: Ship was great. Food superb. Plenty to drink pre and during dinner. Ships crew very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Cons: We loved the Christmas market atmosphere and decorations. One disappointment was the merchandise and crafts at the market booths. Pretty much the same at all the markets. There were a few offering unusual items.

Wonderful excursions with great tour guides. Beautiful ship with wonderful staff that made every day enjoyable and fun.
Pros: Friendly, helpful,cheerful staff, wonderful accommodations . Delicious, expertly presented meals.
Cons: Only thing was tough weather for a couple of days but out of anyone’s control.

To be fair, our experience was not a "real" experience. On a ship with capacity of 160, there were only 54 guests. NOT crowded! Our captain managed to sneak through the low water at Kaub and we did not have to change ships.
Pros: Crew, food, ship.....it was all great!
Cons: Not much!

The trip was cancelled three times during Covid but we did go the fourth time and it was worth waiting for. Destinations on the Danube, local tours, excellent service and cruise manager, made for a very enjoyable time.
Pros: Few passengers, especially at this time. Excellent service, food and beverages.
Cons: None really.
