  Visit Bateman, the home of Rudyard Kipling, an author most famous for writing The Jungle Book. This Jacobean mansion is filled with eastern artifacts and oriental rugs. Here you can check out some of Kipling’s letters, manuscripts and photos. Then head outside to tour the beautiful rose, herb and fruit gardens. Lastly head to the garage to see his Phantom I Rolls-Royce, purchased in 1928.
