Hualien, Taiwan Cruise Port

Hualien is a beautiful city on the East Coast of Taiwan, which is an island off the coast of China. Taiwan is a part of the Republic of China, which was the former regime of China before the Communist People’s Republic of China took over in the 1940s. Hualien is a beautiful city with thrilling landscapes that are quite a site to see. You can also visit Taroko Gorge National Park, which is an 11 mile gorge. Outlined below are some of our favorite things to do and see in Hualien, Taiwan:

• Visit the Pine Garden to reflect on the beauty of this land in the shade of the towering pines.
   
• For a little bit of unadulterated fun, head to the Hualien Ocean Park, which has amusement park attractions and also focuses on marine life and other aspects of the oceans.
   
• Visit the Adobe of Still Thoughts, a Buddhist temple that has Japanese influences. This was once the headquarters of the Tzu-Chi Buddhist foundation.
   
• As mentioned above, the main attraction in Hualien is the Taroko Gorge National Park. Here you’ll see stunning scenes and hopefully spot some of the 144 species of birds that live in this area, plus a few of the 251 species of butterflies.
