Both the cruise and the pre-cruise land tour exceeded all expectations. Iceland had been on our list for quite some time, and it did not disappoint. Loved seeing the country on a smaller cruise ship that could get into the very small ports there. Amazing service, excellent quality food, rooms were quite large for the ship size. Specialty restaurant truly outstanding.
Pros: Friendly crew, great service, super food, casual, large cabins
Cons: None for us but some might like more evening entertainment

We would travel on this ship again. Music groups were talented and fun to dance to their music.
Pros: Very responsive crew, large suites with balcony, great food, special care for restricted diets, choice of excursions
Cons: Beds were rather soft

This was our first non-expedition cruise. We are highly averse to large ships and Star Pride was just fine with 104 cabins. The cabins were attractive and spacious, with adequate closet and drawer storage, a nice two sink bathroom, a comfortable sitting area and a veranda that we could (just barely) step onto. We only had one 110 outlet but had been expecting none so we were ready with adapters. Nice itinerary with a mixture of historic/archaeological sites and a few more recreational ports. Beautiful private candlelight dinner event at Ephesus. Service staff - cabin, restaurant and bar - all very friendly, attentive and fun. Excellent cocktail bar quartet - light jazz and jazzy pop. Very nice experience.
Pros: Cabins are outstanding. Service crew wonderful. Ship size (208) is perfect. Nice and balanced itinerary. Private dinner at Ephesus
Cons: Very few. Food good but not very destination specific or memorable. Shore excursions generally very good but ship staff not consistently knowledgeable. Ship shows its age in a few places but generally very attractive.

My expectations of Windstar are very high after previous trips. Food very good, crew very good. Entertainment good. Liked the ship. Was greeted initial on board with perfunctory hand shake. No cool drink or bottle of water. We have cocktail hour libation. No hors d’oeuvres but stale potato chips. Just little things you do not expect
