Overview
Willemstad, located in the province of North Brabant, is a small, enchanting town in the European country of the Netherlands. Named in honor of William of Orange in 1584, it is celebrated as one of the best-preserved examples of a Dutch fortified town. Venture just outside the central fortified town to explore the nearby defense works, such as Fort Sabina Henrica or Fort De Hel (Fort Hell). These forts were later additions to the defense line and offer a deeper look into the region's military past, including remnants of bunkers and casemates.
