Take a ride on the historic, water-powered Nerobergbahn funicular up to the top of Neroberg Hill. From the summit, you'll be treated to a spectacular panoramic view of Wiesbaden, the Rhine River, and the surrounding Rheingau wine region.
Tip: While at the top, visit the beautiful Russian Orthodox Church and the Kureck, a historic water fountain.
Visit the stunning Marktkirche (Market Church), a prominent neo-Gothic church in the city center. From there, explore the old town's charming streets, which are home to traditional half-timbered houses, quaint shops, and cozy cafes.
Tip: The church's steeple is a city landmark and one of the highest in the region.
Take a leisurely walk along the Rheinuferpromenade, the scenic promenade that runs along the Rhine River. The promenade is a peaceful place to enjoy the view of the river, watch passing boats, and relax in one of the many cafes or beer gardens.

At the heart of Wiesbaden's city center is the Schlossplatz, a historic square surrounded by important buildings, including the Old and New Town Halls and the City Palace. This square is the hub of many local festivals and events.
Tip: The City Palace is now the seat of the state parliament of Hesse and is a beautiful example of neoclassical architecture.
