Tip: From the top, take a scenic hike, or for the more adventurous, try out the zipline or aerial adventure park.
Whitefish is an ideal base for exploring Glacier National Park. A drive of less than an hour will get you to the west entrance of the park. From there, you can drive the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road (seasonal), hike to scenic lakes, or join a ranger-led tour.
Tip: The Going-to-the-Sun Road often requires a vehicle reservation during peak season. Be sure to check park regulations and make a reservation in advance.
The rivers and streams around Whitefish, including the Flathead River, are a world-class destination for fly-fishing. You can hire a local guide or outfitter for a half-day or full-day trip to learn the art of fishing in a beautiful, serene environment.
