Overview
Tanjung Pandan is the largest city and capital of the Indonesian island of Belitung. Located near Rajah Lake, Tanjung Pandan is the second largest producer of tin in the country. Visitors can learn about the harvesting of tin as well as other natural wonders at the Geology Museum. Other points of interest include the zoo and Tanjungpendam Beach, where the late summer Buang Jong ceremony (for protection from the sea) is held annually.
