Sun Peaks, British Columbia, is an award-winning, year-round resort and Canada's second-largest ski area. In the warmer months, choose from an array of hiking trails that wind through alpine meadows blooming with wildflowers. For the adventurous, Sun Peaks' reputation as a premier mountain biking destination is well-deserved, with trails for all skill levels from beginner to advanced.
Tip: The resort offers rentals for both bikes and hiking gear. Check trail maps and conditions at the village base before you start.
Tee off at British Columbia's highest 18-hole golf course. The elevated greens and fairways provide a unique challenge and stunning views. The mountain air and scenery make for a truly memorable round, regardless of your handicap.
Tip: Book your tee time in advance, especially during peak summer weekends, and be prepared for cooler temperatures at the higher elevations.
Spend time exploring the charming pedestrian village. Its "ski-through" design in winter and easy walkability in summer make it a hub of activity. Browse local shops, enjoy a coffee at a cafe, or find a unique souvenir to remember your trip.
Tip: The village often hosts live music, events, and a farmers' market in the summer. Check the local events calendar to see what's happening during your visit.
