Take a water taxi to Kampong Ayer, a fascinating and historic "water village" where a community of over 30,000 people lives in houses built entirely on stilts above the Brunei River. This settlement, which has been around for over 1,300 years, has all the modern amenities, including schools, mosques, and clinics, all connected by a network of boardwalks.
