Located near Shirley Heights, the Dow's Hill Interpretation Centre offers an excellent introduction to the history of English Harbour and the wider Antiguan landscape. Tip: Combine this with a visit to Shirley Heights, as they are close to each other. The views from Dow's Hill are also impressive.
Take a water taxi or short walk to Galleon Beach, a secluded crescent-shaped beach offering calm waters and excellent snorkeling, especially around its rocky outcrops. From here, you can also see the impressive Pillars of Hercules, natural limestone formations shaped by the sea.
Tip: Bring your snorkeling gear. The water taxi ride offers nice views of the coastline.
Walk or take a short taxi ride to Falmouth Harbour, adjacent to English Harbour. This bustling bay is another major yachting hub, often filled with luxurious superyachts from around the world. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the marinas and waterfront restaurants.
