Overview
Dinard is a sophisticated seaside resort town located in Brittany, France, on the Emerald Coast (Côte d'Émeraude). Facing Saint-Malo across the Rance estuary, Dinard rose to prominence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a favored retreat for the British aristocracy, leaving behind a legacy of grand Belle Époque villas and beautiful gardens. Today, it retains its elegant charm, offering stunning beaches, coastal paths, and panoramic views.
Dinard is not a direct cruise port for large ocean-going vessels. Due to its location on the Rance estuary, it is primarily accessible via shore excursions for passengers whose cruises dock at the nearby port of Saint-Malo. From Saint-Malo, a short ferry ride across the Rance or a scenic bus journey can take visitors to Dinard. For very small, specialized vessels, access might be possible up the Rance, but this is uncommon. Explore parts of the scenic Sentier des Douaniers, a coastal path that offers breathtaking views of the rugged coastline, hidden coves, and the open sea around Dinard.

Walk to the Pointe du Moulinet, a rocky promontory offering fantastic panoramic views of the coastline, Plage de l'Écluse, and the distant horizon. It's a great viewpoint for photos.
