Overview
Deshaies is a charming fishing village located on the northwest coast of Basse-Terre, the western wing of Guadeloupe. Unlike the more bustling tourist centers, Deshaies offers a tranquil, authentic Caribbean experience. Deshaies is a popular cruise port of call for smaller cruise ships, luxury yachts, and expedition vessels exploring the Lesser Antilles. Larger ships may anchor further out and tender, but many smaller ships can anchor directly in Deshaies Bay.
