Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia and was one of the earliest communities on the Pacific Northwest. • Butchart Gardens is the place you must see when you visit Victoria. This is a 50-acre garden that is renowned the world over for its layout and its blooms. This garden has existed for over 100 years.
• Walk down Canada’s smallest road, Fan Tan Alley, located in Victoria’s Chinatown. While you are in the neighborhood, check out the shops and restaurants that sell Chinese specialties.
• Visit the British Columbia Museum where you’ll learn about the natives of the area, the European settlement and the natural history of the land.
• Take a whale watching tour in the harbor. Orcas, humpbacks and grey whales all frequent Victoria.
