Victoria, British Columbia Cruise Port

Victoria is the capital city of British Columbia and was one of the earliest communities on the Pacific Northwest. Named after Queen Victoria, this city takes on some of the Victorian charms she championed. Here you’ll find elegant buildings and beautifully landscaped green spaces. The city has even been called the City of Gardens because of the constantly blooming flowers and its temperate climate, which averages 60 degrees in August, its hottest month. Featured below are a few of our most highly recommended experiences for when you cruise to Victoria, British Columbia:

  • Butchart Gardens is the place you must see when you visit Victoria. This is a 50-acre garden that is renowned the world over for its layout and its blooms. This garden has existed for over 100 years.
  • Walk down Canada’s smallest road, Fan Tan Alley, located in Victoria’s Chinatown. While you are in the neighborhood, check out the shops and restaurants that sell Chinese specialties.
  • Visit the British Columbia Museum where you’ll learn about the natives of the area, the European settlement and the natural history of the land.
  • Take a whale watching tour in the harbor. Orcas, humpbacks and grey whales all frequent Victoria.
