Scrub Island, British Virgin Islands Cruise Port

Scrub Island, within the British Virgin Islands archipelago, is an island in the Antilles which borders the Caribbean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and the Atlantic Ocean. Unlike the Greater Antilles which includes the major islands: Jamaica, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, and the Caymans, Scrub is part of the Lesser Antilles which includes: the Leeward Islands, Windward Islands, and the Leeward Antilles. Cars are forbidden on this one and a half mile long island which limits land transportation to island shuttles, bikes, and walking. A few protected coves and beautiful nature trails are perfect for the savvy traveler who enjoys stunning tropical scenery along with challenging walks and/or bike rides. Three pristine beaches overlook the calming Caribbean Sea and are great for sunbathing, quiet walks, or impromptu picnics. The marina has a number of boats that can be rented for fishing, snorkeling or deep sea diving.

• The Old Government House Museum is located on Tortola, a seven-minute shuttle ride from Scrub. This important historical building is not only a quaint museum; it also hosts a number of fancy events.
   
• Cooper Island, a mere five mile shuttle from Scrub, is a premiere docking spot for yachts and is therefore one of the prime scuba and snorkeling destinations thanks to its clear water.
   
• At Dream Yacht Charter, tourists can get a taste of the extravagant life in three-hour intervals. These jaunts take you around the Antilles while guests enjoy delightful food and drink.
