Penzance is a port town located in Cornwall, England. Stemming off the English Channel, the port has a storied history of mass trade that kept the small town alive for many years. Today, the port is one of the busiest in the Cornwall area and tourism has joined trade, retail businesses, and fishing among the town’s major industries. Ferries also visit the harbor to transport visitors to and from the Isles of Scilly, a popular grouping of Cornwall islands for sightseeing and day trips. Penzance’s shopping is widely sought out by visitors, particularly the bustling market area. Market Place in the center of town offers an abundance of fashion products along with local handcrafted products and delicacies. As far as restaurants, Penzance is lauded as being closet to New York City in the variety of places to eat. Like the rest of Cornwall, the town has impressive cliffs with great views, particularly the Land’s End viewing area.

• Head out to the Minack Theatre near Land’s End and see this impressive open-air performance space that puts on a slew of plays and musicals between May and September.
   
• Formally a Victorian family home, the Penlee House Gallery & Museum displays popular art from the 19^th and 20^th century and also contains a beautiful backyard garden.
   
• Gaze at beautiful statues at the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens. The attraction isn’t only rock; some sculptures are actually molded from plants. It’s a unique experience, indeed, and a perfect place to spend a few leisurely hours.
   
• Take a nice stroll down Chapel Street and become immersed in history. This extended walk includes great architecture, churches, restaurants, and a number of friendly pubs.
