Neopolis, Greece Cruise Port

The northern city of Kavala—known as Neapolis in ancient Greece and Christoupolis during medieval times—is the principal seaport of eastern Macedonia and the capital city of the Kavala (Vatica) region. It’s one of the most aesthetically pleasing of Greece’s larger cities with traditional houses and humble gardens on the eastern side, and more modern shopping centers, contemporary buildings and spacious squares on the western side. Not only is it a lively port, it also acts as the commercial center and social nightlife hub for the entire Vatica region.
