Marlborough Sounds Cruise Port

• To see what might initially be invisible to the naked eye, check out the Lochmara Wildlife Recovery & Arts Centre. This day trip off the beaten path provides the chance to have "classic kiwi experiences," thanks to fantastic views, native bush walks, local artwork, and a safe beach.
   
• For those who want to get their blood pumping, take on the Queen Charlotte Track by foot or by bike. If time allows, traverse the path in three to four days; that path takes you from the historic Ship Cove, all the way to Anakiwa. Here you'll not only get close to nature, but get unparalleled views of the Kenepuru Sounds and Queen Charlotte.
   
• Believe it or not, the Marlborough Sounds have some pretty amazing local cheeses. Visit the award-winning Cranky Goat east of Havelock to watch owner Simon Lamb whip up some offerings that give French cheese a run for its money.
   
• Fans of mussels will want to catch the Greenshell Mussel Cruise out of Havelock. Sail through the Sounds and enjoy the sights, then visit a local mussel farm for some of the freshest mussels you may ever taste (perfectly paired with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc).
