Kauai, Hawaii Cruise Port

Kauai, Hawaii is a land that is meant to be gawked at and ogled over. This island is the fourth largest of the Hawaiian Islands, but only 3 percent of it has been developed; the rest is nature at its best. Here you’ll find rainforests, valleys and mountains. You may have even seen this land on TV or in the movies. Kauai is featured in the opening credits of MASH and features heavily in the Academy Award winning film The Descendants starring George Clooney. Continue below for a few of our top experiences for Kauai, Hawaii:

  • A visit to Kauai isn’t complete without a stop at the Napali Coast. Or better yet, get an aerial view on a helicopter tour. This is a beautiful part of the coastline with valleys, waterfalls, lava arches and beaches.

  • Tour Grove Farm, a sugar plantation on the island. This 19th century complex offers an interesting insight into the land and the Wilcox family that owned and operated the place.

  • Although it’s not quite as big as the Grand Canyon, the Waimea Canyon is still a sight to see. Spanning 14 miles, the canyon offers incredible views of Kauai’s flora and fauna.

  • Head to beaches like Poipu, South Shore or North Shore to watch as surfers “hang ten.” Or, take a surfing lesson of your own and be the one riding the waves.
