Jasper, Alberta Cruise Port

Nestled deep in the Canadian Rockies and the Athabasca River Valley, Jasper, Alberta is a small town containing Jasper National Park. The park is the largest national park in the Rockies, spanning more than 4,200 square miles. This resort town amid the grand park is a quaint gateway to the mighty glaciers, rampant wildlife, and the roaring lakes and waterfalls for which the area is known. With plenty of guides and tours to hire, Jasper has the feel of a close-knit, friendly community. The Columbia Icefield is the park’s most well-known glacial grouping which sits among the freezing waters among a grouping of stunning mountains along the horizon. The park’s evergreen forests and deep limestone canyons are beautiful sights for those exploring the park’s many facets. The town has a good number of small gift shops to help commemorate your visit, and a few small restaurants/eateries to dine at and rest after a long day of exploration.

• The Miette Hot Springs can be discovered deep in Fiddle Valley. These mineral-rich waters are equipped with modern amenities including heated and cold pools, showers, a lounge with a roaring fire, and a café.
   
• Venture to the Jasper Planetarium in the evening to learn from specialized astronomy experts as you experience one of nature’s greatest light shows.
   
• The Den is the name of Jasper’s exciting wildlife museum. While the park has its share of wildlife, this museum explores the history of the many animals of western Canada.
   
• The Jasper Art Gallery offers a wide selection of art from local artists with much of the work depicting the wonders of the park including its landscapes and amazing scenery.
