Donegal, Ireland Cruise Port

Located in the Donegal County, Donegal is a small town in Ulster, Ireland. It sits at the mouth of River Eske and Donegal Bay and is the most mountainous county in the region. It’s surrounded by two sets of low mountain ranges: the Derryveagh Mountains in the north, and Black Stack Mountains to the south, which are affectionately known as the Croaghs in Irish Gaelic. Because of its bayside location there are many sandy beaches that boast excellent surfing conditions and are great places to unwind by sunbathing, swimming, and diving. The numerous hotels cater to travelers and offer amenities such as outdoor swimming pools, spas, movie theaters, and very large shopping centers. The town has both a regional and local newspaper, plus the local radio station, Ocean FM, has one of its three stations in the center of town.
