• The Santa María de la Asunción Church is a good place to visit for history lovers. It was built in the 13th century, and was destroyed by a fire. It had to be rebuilt in 1939. The church is strongly linked to the history of the town.
   
• The Castellón Fine Arts Museum has several objects that can help a tourist to learn more about the town. The museum houses artifacts locally obtained from the Paleolithic age to the Middle Ages. It also houses paintings and sculptures from multiple artists.
   
• Music lovers who happen to cruise to Castellon de la Plana in July can enjoy a visit to the village of Benicassim which is the venue for the Festival Internacional de Benicàssim. The festival started in 1995 and from then on it has been immensely popular.
   
• There are numerous good dining establishments in the region. The La Cuina de Fernando is an ideal place to eat delicious local foods. Eating the local cuisines is a good way to experience something new. Some of the popular foods of the area are octopus, tuna and rice.
