Tip: The casino has a dress code in the evening, so be sure to check the requirements if you plan on visiting at night to gamble.
Take a leisurely walk down the famous Lichtentaler Allee, a beautiful two-mile park and promenade that winds along the banks of the Oos River. Lined with exotic trees, historic buildings, and ornate bridges, it's the perfect place for a peaceful stroll.
Tip: The park is especially beautiful in the spring and summer when the flowers are in full bloom, or in the fall when the leaves change color.
Explore the charming, cobbled streets of Baden-Baden's Old Town. Here, you'll find elegant squares, fountains, and a variety of high-end boutiques and specialty shops. Don't miss the picturesque Stiftskirche (Collegiate Church), which dates back to the 15th century
Tip: Many of the smaller streets are car-free, making for a relaxing and enjoyable walk, and an excellent opportunity to find a local café for a coffee or snack.
For stunning panoramic views of Baden-Baden, the Rhine Valley, and the Black Forest, take the funicular railway up to the summit of Merkur Mountain. At the top, there's a viewing platform and a restaurant where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
Tip: Clear days offer the best views, and the ride itself is a fun and scenic experience.
Visit the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, one of Europe's largest concert halls. If your schedule allows, consider attending a classical music concert or an opera performance in this stunning venue, which is known for its incredible acoustics.
Tip: Even if you can't attend a performance, the building's architecture is worth a look from the outside.
