Cape Town, South Africa is a popular cruise port and the perfect location for a pre- or post-cruise land tour package. Upon your arrival in Cape Town, Local Hosts see you to your hotel to ensure you are well rested for the following day's included half-day sightseeing tour. In Cape Town, head to Boulders Beach to see a colony of endangered African penguins, and drive along Chapman's Peak Drive, featuring a view widely regarded as one of the best in the world. The next day in Cape Town, go see Africa's "Big Five"—lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and the Cape buffalo. Spend the next two at the safari reserve doing activities suggested by your Local Host, such as an Afternoon Game Drive. Finish your tour of South Africa in Johannesburg, where one of the must-sees is the Mandela House.

Before or after your cruise, visit the interior of Africa in Tanzania for an exciting safari adventure. Start your tour at the Tarangire National Park, spending three days with guides, exploring the game reserve on the lookout for zebra, giraffe, and baboons. Your final day, enjoy a traditional African meal before going to another area of game land in the Ngorongoro Crater, which is a 102-square-mile crater and one of the best places to see the rare black rhinoceros. While in Kenya, spend your time visiting a variety of wildlife conservation areas, as well as visiting a Maasai tribe National Reserve, where there is a population of nearly 2 million zebra and wildebeests.

Your last stop on this African safari is in the Chobe National Park, which is known for the largest herds of elephants in Africa.
