Overview
The Viking Osfrid is designed specifically to sail the scenic bends of the Douro River. Upon her beautiful decks you’ll discover all the comforts you’ve come to expect from Viking River Cruises, including the shaded Sun Deck, an onboard Library, Observation Lounge, Bar, and – of course – the open-air Aquavit Terrace.
Each of the staterooms aboard the Viking Osfrid features a beautiful river view, and the spectacular Veranda Suites are well worth the upgrade for their 302 square feet, French balcony and private veranda.
You’ll be especially grateful for the hotel-style beds when you return to the Longship Osfrid after an eventful day exploring the beautiful Douro River Valley in Portugal or Spain.

Pros: Excellent crew, staff, tours, food and even the weather which I realize was also luck the two afternoons that didn’t feel well so many offered help, soup. Ginger ale.

Wonderful trip in a wonderful area. Viking knows how to do it right. The program director, Patricia, was over the top and a native of Porto. We had great weather, great food, great trips, and fantastic staff. All the Portuguese wines were super and we enjoyed learning about the different types. The grape harvest was ongoing so we got to experience that also. I can't recommend this trip enough.
Pros: Great service, staff and crew. Perfect itinerary.

Clean boat, good crew, good guides. Easy trip… well organized. Clean buses. Excursions were varied based on what was available… lots of time slotted to shopping… the same touristy stores get overdone so many just sat waiting for the bus… focus more on the excursions and less on shopping.
Pros: Clean, good crew
Cons: Food was not the highest quality. Vegetarian meals were limited to Indian curry dishes … need more options!
