Princess Cruises Youth Programs
Princess Cruises offers youth programs for children aged 3 and up on all of their ships, except the Ocean Princess and Pacific Princess. These two smaller ships will have programming if there are 20 or more children aged 3-17 on a sailing. The youth center and teen lounges are open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. and then from 6 to 10 p.m. on sea days. On port days the hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.

The Treehouse
For ages 3-7, this center offers fun, bright colors with lessons and hands-on activities centered on the exotic creatures that adorn the walls.
The Lodge
Children ages 8-12 will thrive in this center themed like an outdoor adventure. With activities like air hockey, foosball and video games, parents can enjoy a relaxing day knowing their children are well taken care of and entertained.
The Beach House
Teens will feel right at home in this contemporary lounge, perfectly designed for meeting new friends and hanging out. At night, teens have events like Rock The Boat Party to keep the fun going.
Youth Centers
Children aged 3 to 7 are grouped as Princess Pelicans and are entertained with programs like Kindermusik at Sea, pajama parties and art projects. Shockwaves is the group for children aged 8 to 12. This supervised program has children participate in sports tournaments, a program called Jr.CHEF@Sea and scavenger hunts.
Teen Lounges
Teenagers get their own lounge where they can relax with less of a structured set of activities, but lots to keep them excited, from foosball to Nintendo Wii games. They also have events like “mocktail” competitions and hip hop dance classes.
Kidsitting
From the hours of 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. the ship’s youth staff offers group kidsitting for children ages 3 to 12. It costs $5 per hour, per child.
Edutainment
Princess has partnered with the California Science Center to provide nature and science based activities like chemistry experiments and roller coaster building. They also have a program called Pete’s Pals, which teaches kids about endangered species. On Alaska cruises kids can participate in the National Park Service Junior Ranger Program.
Youth Dining
One several days during a Princess cruise, your kids can attend a kids-only dinner where they can eat with the youth staff and their peers.
