Overview
Designed to evoke the intimacy of a private yacht, EXPLORA I embodies the pinnacle of modern luxury. Every one of her 456 ocean-front suites opens onto a private terrace with sweeping ocean views.
At her heart is the Owner's Residence, spanning the ship's full beam with its own infinity whirlpool. Onboard, a curated Galleria d'Arte showcases works by Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, Damien Hirst and other contemporary icons as destination-led itineraries carry guests from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, Alaska, and beyond.
EXPLORA I was named in New York City by godmother Dr. Sylvia Earle, the world-renowned oceanographer and conservationist — a fitting tribute to a ship built around a deep respect for the ocean.
That respect extends below the waterline too: EXPLORA I is RINA DOLPHIN certified for reduced underwater noise, and single-use plastics are excluded onboard and across every land-based experience.

Pros: What a BEAUTIFUL ship. The ship was very well cared for, the service was phenomenal, and the food was delicious. I don't cruise that often, but I'm not sure I could ever go down in cruise categories ever again.
Cons: I understand this was summer cruise, but I was kind of shocked by the amount of children on the ship. They do a good job with designated adults only sections, but the shore excursions are open to all and you could be put with a family of many kids on a boat for a few hours (like we were).

Pros: The ship, the service, the entertainment, dining options and the food, the lounges with evening entertainment, the activities offered….. It was all wonderful!
Cons: I tried very hard to find any. Probably could improve the shore excursion program, both the fact they need a minimum of 10 or they cancel and the quality of the guides and tours.

Pros: Suites are spacious and well appointed, Staff is gracious & accomodating with a smile! Restaurants have unique and varied menu's
Cons: The temperatures were a bit too cold in one restaurant-but the good news is, no one in my group returned with a flu bug-which maybe the cold helped to prevent!
