Cruise Trend: Cruise Lines with Solo Cabins

By The Cruise Web, Inc.

Studio Cabin on the Norwegian BreakawayTravelers are no longer being tied down by the need to have a travel companion. There are many reasons why a person may not have a travel partner, least of which is the fact that sometimes traveling on your own is the easiest and best experience. Just think, you’ve got no one to argue with about where to go and no one slowing you down or rushing you on to the next attraction.

For those who travel on their own, cruising may seem unfair or like a bad option at first. Many are turned off by the single supplement fare where they have to be booked into a room meant for two and pay a fee for their non-existent guest.

Norwegian Cruise Line Continues to Innovate

By The Cruise Web, Inc.

Rendering of the Waterfront - Photo courtesy of Norwegian Cruise LineInnovation is the name of the game when it comes to cruising, and nowhere is it more present than on Norwegian Cruise Line. This contemporary cruise line has been innovating for years and with each new update they make all in the industry sit up and take note. On the Breakaway, Norwegian is opening up their restaurants to the ocean. The ship will feature The Waterfront, which is a quarter mile long boardwalk where the specialty restaurants onboard will offer al fresco dining. [Read more →]

Short Getaways Cater to a Busy Life

By The Cruise Web, Inc.

Amusement Park RideI remember when I was a kid and it was almost standard practice that, come summertime, everyone in my family would pack their things and we would all take a week long vacation somewhere nice. One such vacation was a trip to Disney World. We spent a whole week at the theme park doing all the things that you look forward to doing. I got to eat park food (yum!), ride park rides and meet the Disney characters, but only one thing was really important to me, and that was meeting Mickey Mouse.  My dad recently told a story at a family dinner, at my expense, that I had never heard before.  He said that before the trip he had cautioned me that “Mickey does not like little boys who wet the bed. You don’t want to make Mickey sad do you?” [Read more →]
