Quantum of the Seas Ship Review

Royal Caribbean International has announced a few key features that make the Quantum of the Seas different than any other. Stay tuned for more updates and innovations.

A wonder of engineering, RCI's "Quantum of the Seas" is a sight to see. Featuring everything from a street fair, rock climbing wall and even an ice-skating rink! This 138,000-ton, 3,114 –guest ship is part of the Voyager class of ships, with innovations highlighting the highest space-per-guest ratio in cruising. Enjoy the enhanced staterooms, expanded dining options and amazing recreational facilities.

  • North Star – This is the crown jewel of the Quantum of the Seas, a mechanical arm that lets passengers float 300-feet above the water off the side of the ship in a jewel shaped glass capsule.
  • RipCord by iFly – This feature will give passengers the thrill of jumping head first into thin air, without actually doing it. This virtual sky diving feature uses a wind tunnel to make you feel like you are floating in air.
  • SeaPlex – Is a pumped up gymnasium by day complete with circus school and bumper cars. By night the SeaPlex turns into a place to get your boogie on with a live DJ and roller skates.
  • Two70° – A three-story tall great room with 270 degrees of panoramic windows make this the perfect space to lounge with family and friends and partake in the magnificent views. At night the space becomes interactive with avant-garde performances that will take your breath away.
  • Music Hall – This concert venue will host a variety of performances that passengers can rock ‘n’ roll too. This two-story hall will also host theme parties and billiards.

Quantum of the Seas Accommodations

  • Virtual Balconies – The ship will have 373 virtual balconies, which are inside staterooms with special 80-inch screens that display a view from outside the ship. These screens can be turned on or off by the passenger, giving them a virtual view.
  • Studio Staterooms – Quantum of the Seas will introduce studio staterooms to Royal Caribbean. Studios are cabins made for one person, allowing solo travelers to cruise without paying a single supplement fee. There will be 28 Studios and 12 of them will have balconies.
  • Family-Connected – Royal Caribbean has three kinds of staterooms connect to form the perfect space for a multi-generational family. This allows big groups to open the doors to be together as one or close them for some “me” time. Each connected room has their own bedroom and bathroom.
