Passports

A passport is a U.S. citizen's key to international travel. If you do not already possess a valid passport, you should apply several months in advance, especially if your destination requires a visa. Make sure your passport is valid at least six months after returning home and has two or more blank pages, or some countries may prohibit entry. Note that passports for children under 16 are valid for five years, while adult passports are valid for 10 years. Please check expiration dates carefully. To be safe, we recommend that cruisers bring their passport with them even if not required, in case of emergency. Please take advantage of the resources below:
