Casablanca, Morocco Cruise Port

Most people know Casablanca from the romantic movie starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman. But the movie’s namesake, Casablanca, is now a fast paced modern city in Morocco. Without an array of mosques or historical sites, this port is often overlooked, but Casablanca can give you an insight into modern day northern Africa. Here you can see skyscrapers, visit a state-of-the-art mall and try great cuisine. Featured below are a few of our favorite things to do in Casablanca, Morocco:

  • Step inside one of only two main mosques in all of Morocco that are open to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The King Hassan II Mosque is the third largest in the world.

  • Check out beautiful mosaics as you take care of any mail you might have at the Central Post Office. This is a beautiful building which was built in 1918.

  • Visit Marabout de Sidi Abderrahmane, an island where the founder of Algiers is buried. Many locals come here to seek enlightenment and reflect on their lives.

  • The Morocco Mall is where you’ll find Aquadream, an aquarium with 40 species of fish. There is a cylindrical walkway where you’re surrounded by tanks offering an incredible 360-degree view of the fish.
