Houston, Texas Cruise Port

If you're cruising from a Gulf port, consider cruising from the largest city in the state of Texas through the port of Houston. Spend a few days before or after your cruise vacation in Space City, where you can find everything from the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center to a darn good barbeque. Houston is a fantastic place to start your cruise vacation, because the time you spend before embarkation will be spent in an amazing environment. Restaurants, bars, live music, movies and more line the streets, filled with intriguing personalities from all over.

• Musically inclined cruisers can check out some fine opera at the Houston Grand Opera, and dance lovers can attend a show at the Houston Ballet.
   
• There is also a tremendously developed Museum District that includes the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston and the Houston Zoo, among other attractions.
