Solo Travelers Programs with Norwegian Cruise Line
Traveling solo can be a scary prospect for some, but for those with an independent mind it's a rewarding experience that can lead to lifelong friendships, spectacular introspection and memories to last a lifetime. The logistics of cruise travel for a solo passenger have always been a bit tricky, since most cruise fares are based on double occupancy, but no more. Norwegian cruise line has revolutionized cruising for the solo traveler with their Studio staterooms.
Starting on the Norwegian Epic and continuing on the Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway, the Studios are built to accommodate one person, but all the studios are together to facilitate conversations and friendships among solo travelers. Those in the studios have private access to a lounge where those passengers can meet up with their fellow cruisers anytime day or night. In the lounge, solo guests are treated to complimentary snacks and coffee. There is also plenty of space to stretch out, watch TV or just lounge.
The Studio's themselves are approximately 100-square feet and each includes a private bathroom, a full size bed and a spacious shower. The rooms have been well received by travelers who say the rooms at first seem small, but are actually quite spacious and well designed. Norwegian Cruise Line even received an award from Travel + Leisure Magazine for the design and innovation of these rooms.
