  • The Cruise Web's Managers Cut a Rug

    On Saturday, March 3rd, The Cruise Web’s management team swung over to Arthur Murray Studios in Columbia, MD for an exclusive Managers’ Ballroom Dance group lesson and practice party.   • Helping the Homeless Through the Stepping Stones Shelter

    Amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it’s sometimes all too easy to forget about the less fortunate. With that in mind, The Cruise Web set out to lift some spirits this holiday season and reached out to the Stepping Stones Shelter, a homeless shelter in nearby Rockville, MD. After speaking with the Stepping Stones Shelter’s gracious staff and hearing more about their mission, The Cruise Web felt a strong desire to contribute to their cause.

  • The Cruise Web Experiences Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas

    This past October, fourteen members of The Cruise Web team cruised to the Bahamas aboard Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas. The 3-night cruise was part of Royal Caribbean’s Seminar at Sea series and combined educational classes with a fun cruise experience. Upon their return from the Bahamas, the participating employees shared the following:

    The cruise gave me a visceral experience that tops off the classroom training – specifically, the shore excursion with the stingrays was cool way beyond any expectations. In general, I especially liked the tremendous variety of things to do and how they were all very conveniently presented, including the on-ship activities and facilities, shore excursions, extensive dining, just enjoying the ship itself, the ocean and port views, shopping and people watching.

    When I started this company 17 years ago, introducing the CruiseWeb.com web site just after the launch of the very first Netscape web browser, The Cruise Web was a one person company, setting up our first supplier contacts, and preparing for our very first cruise bookings. Only about 3% of the North American population had ever cruised at that time, and cruise lines, with their classic ship designs, were just starting to more aggressively reach out to the greater U.S. population.
