  • The Cruise Web's New Office

On October 27, 2011, The Cruise Web officially moved to its new office space at 3901 Calverton Boulevard in Calverton, MD. The plan for the new office had been in the works for a while and only became more of a necessity as the company continued to grow. From the moment the first plans were revealed, the company was full of anticipation. And this anticipation was only fueled further with each new detail of the new office.

  • Wrapping Up a Summer of Concerts

Over the last few months, several of The Cruise Web’s employees had a chance to take in some live music courtesy of Carnival Cruise Lines. The “Summer Concert Series,” as it’s become known around the office, kicked off in June when Kathy Donnelly, Business Development Director for Carnival Cruise Lines, dropped off a few tickets to see the Rascal Flatts. The tickets were offered in appreciation for the long relationship between The Cruise Web and Carnival. Little did we know that they were just the first of many…

  • The Cruise Web Wins Team Relay at Baltimore Marathon

Err, to be more accurate, The Cruise Web won 534th place in the Team Relay at last weekend’s Baltimore Running Festival – but we’re no less proud.
Karolina kicked things off with a gutsy run through Baltimore’s challenging Druid Hills. She then handed off to Seth who wound his way back through the city to the halfway point. Desiree took over from there and turned in another fantastic split to set up the relay’s final leg. Yossi had the anchor leg and did an excellent job finishing strong and doing the company proud!

  • NEW – River Cruises from The Cruise Web

Now presenting river cruises from The Cruise Web! River cruising is an increasingly popular vacation option for travelers who enjoy the convenience and comfort of cruising, but wish to travel to locations inaccessible by a larger cruise ship. These specially designed river ships and cruise barges – usually built to carry fewer than 200 passengers – take guests through the heartland of a nation for an unparalleled travel experience.
While some river ships lack a few of the onboard features and amenities found on larger oceangoing vessels, they make up for it with port-intensive, one-of-a-kind itineraries. Plus, river cruise itineraries often focus on smaller towns and villages, offering a more personal and in-depth experience within a region. It’s also not uncommon for river cruises to package shore excursions, such as guided tours, in the regular cruise fare.

  • Bermuda the Beautiful

Last month, The Cruise Web’s Manager of Client Services and Group Administration, Julie Atkins, had a chance to take a much deserved break from work and see Bermuda with her daughter. After returning to the office, Julie was nice enough to share about her experience:
“I came across a great deal on the Enchantment of the Seas sailing roundtrip from Baltimore, MD at the beginning of July. Since it was leaving from Baltimore to Bermuda, I thought it would be a great idea to get away for a short 5 night break with my 3 year old daughter – and since we live in Maryland it had more appeal as we didn’t need flights.

  • One Cruise Consultant Explores the Mediterranean Islands with Azamara

Last month, The Cruise Web’s very own Lynda Lynn had the privilege of participating in a Seminar at Sea on board the Azamara Journey on a 7-night “Islands of the Mediterranean” cruise. Seminars at Sea allow consultants to familiarize themselves with different cruise lines through invaluable first-hand experiences. Lynda’s cruise was no exception so let’s go straight to the source for Lynda’s take on her experience:
“I traveled round trip from Civitavecchia visiting the beautiful ports of Bonifacio, Corsica, France – Olbia, Sardinia, Italy – Trapani, Sicily, Italy – Taormina, Sicily, Italy – and Sorrento, Italy (which included a wonderful overnight stop in Sorrento).
