Norwegian Cruise Line recently announced an exciting update to its 2018/2019 schedule. The Norwegian Breakaway, one of Norwegian’s newest and largest ships, will sail from New Orleans, Louisiana during her 2018/2019 winter season.
Norwegian Breakaway will spend summer 2018 cruising in the Baltic, and then reposition from New York City to New Orleans for her 2018/2019 winter sailings to the Caribbean. A few of the fantastic ports of call she will visit are Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Georgetown, Cayman Islands; Harvest Caye, Belize; and many more!
Now that Norwegian Breakaway will be sailing out of New Orleans, Norwegian Cruise Line is giving travelers wanting to sail from the Crescent City an opportunity to experience their dream cruise.
“Norwegian Breakaway will be the largest and newest ship from Norwegian to sail from New Orleans, and we are thrilled to bring our signature Breakaway-class ship to this important homeport,” said Andy Stuart, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. “We want to provide more opportunities for our guests across the country to explore beautiful destinations and enjoy all the spectacular features of our newest ships, along with the freedom and flexibility that only a Norwegian cruise can offer.”
Norwegian Breakaway, the first ship in the Breakaway-class, will delight cruisers of all ages. She features accommodations for every type of traveler, from the studios for solo cruisers to the luxurious, all-suite enclave: The Haven by Norwegian®. Norwegian Breakaway also features more than 25 dining venues; a thrilling aqua park with five slides and an exciting ropes course; Broadway entertainment including Rock of Ages; The Waterfront, a quarter-mile deck featuring waterfront dining, shopping, and entertainment; and 678 Ocean Place, a three-story complex located in the heart of the ship where cruisers can enjoy nightlife, gaming, and more.
Norwegian Breakaway will arrive in New Orleans on November 11, 2018 and is scheduled to sail a variety of cruises to the Caribbean through April 7, 2019.
