In 2019, Silversea Cruises completed the refurbishment of the 28,258-ton Silver Shadow. This extensive refurbishment was inspired by the design of Silver Muse, which called for many major upgrades. These main points of improvement centered on Silver Shadow’s suites, Atrium, La Dame, Connoisseur’s Corner, and casino. Making the already luxurious ship even more comfortable and beautiful was the goal of this refurbishment, and guests will not be disappointed by the result!
No area on Silver Shadow was untouched during the refurbishment, but five spaces received extra attention. The first areas that received a huge makeover were the Suites aboard this all-suite vessel. The suite renovations were modeled directly after Silver Muse’s color palette and design, meaning all new furniture, lighting, carpets and headboards! Suite bathrooms were updated as well, including new sinks and materials with a full overhaul of the Owner’s Suite bathroom.
An exciting main point of the refurbishment is the new Atrium on deck five of Silver Shadow. The Atrium has been redesigned in the area that used to be the Lobby, Boutique and Casino. This Atrium is designed to encompass these parts of the ship and transform them into an open, social hub! This hub will have a newly updated guest reception space, boutiques and a new Arts Café featuring coffee, pastries and sandwiches amid beautiful pieces of artwork. This area is also inspired by Silver Muse of course!
These next two pieces of the refurbishment go hand and hand, especially for gamblers. The brand new Casino has been moved from deck five to deck eight, allowing for even more space and updated decorations. Also on deck eight and adjacent to the newly designed Casino is the Connoisseur’s Corner, a luxury lounging area. The Connoisseur’s Corner offers the finest cognacs and cigars and includes a comfortable outdoor smoking area.
By popular demand, La Dame is back and bigger than ever aboard Silver Shadow! Since guests have raved about La Dame restaurant’s delectable French dining and modern style, Silversea Cruises has expanded the space to accommodate more diners. La Dame will now seat 40 in sophisticated style!
