When Norwegian Joy emerges from her $50 million renovation, her entertainment lineup will be headlined by Footloose, the Tony-nominated musical, for the first time at sea. Andy Stuart, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line said, “We are very excited to showcase Footloose, a feel-good, positive show that encourages people to embrace new ideas, stand up for what they believe in and dance their hearts out. We’re certain it will have guests ‘kicking off their Sunday shoes’ as they enjoy their cruise vacation aboard Norwegian Joy as she makes her debut in Alaska in May 2019.”
Footloose will be the most recent of a slew of award-winning musicals on Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships when Norwegian Joy begins sailing again in 2019. The ship will also feature a favorite among Norwegian Cruise Line’s guests, Elements, the high flying acrobatics show. Other additions from the renovation include an expanded go-kart track and upgrades to the dining and bar concepts.
