Quebec City recently announced its first Cruise Month will take place September 16th through October 16th, 2017. The designated month will celebrate the region’s booming cruise industry with numerous events celebrating local businesses, arts, and culture – all with the goal of helping travelers find new and exciting experiences in Quebec City.
Quebec City is the home of Cruise Month.

The cruise industry is overwhelmingly popular in Quebec and the city wants to recognize it. The Port of Quebec will be celebrating a record-breaking year with a nearly 30% expected increase over the 2016 season. This could take the port to 200,000 visitors – a record number!
The Viking Sea (Sept. 20th), Viking Sky (Sept. 22nd), Silver Muse (Sept. 29th), and Norwegian Jade (Oct. 11th) are all scheduled to call in Quebec City during cruise month.
Some of the activities occurring during Cruise Month include:
Festival de Cinema de la Ville de Quebec (Sep. 13-23): This is an annual film event that offers screenings of films from around the world.
Limoliou en Famille (Sep. 17): This event offers family-focused activities, such as musical performances, cheerleading demonstrations, and Zumba workshops.
Journees de la Culture (Sep. 29-Oct. 1): This event gives free access to top museums and activities. Close to 10,000 artists, craftspeople, and organizations will have fun activities for travelers to experience the art and culture of Quebec City.
Passages Insolites (Oct. 15): See the pop-up public art installations located in the Old Port district, Quartier Petit Champlain, and Place Royale.
