New High-Speed WiFi for Norwegian, Oceania and Regent

By The Cruise Web, Inc.

WiFi connectivity at sea just got a whole lot better for guests sailing on Norwegian, Oceania and Regent ships starting July 2016. Experience lightning-fast WiFi powered by SpeedNet, as the ongoing efforts of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings to enhance internet experience on all 23 ships prove the company’s commitment to excellence at sea.

The current bandwidth across its fleet will be quadrupled to deliver popular websites at speeds that imitate high-speed fiber optic networks. This will allow guests to stay in touch with family and friends back home, keep up with social media postings and access internet content of choice.

Thanks to the long-term strategic agreement Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has with EMC, the performance-boosting technology upgrades installed fleet-wide will continually be monitored and upgraded as needed to provide the highest quality of experience and satisfaction to guests. Slow data speeds from satellites will be a thing of the past as high speed shore side connectivity in major destination ports takes over.

Take advantage of the complimentary WiFi in the all-inclusive cruise package offered by Regent Seven Seas Cruises, free unlimited internet in Oceania Cruises’ “OLife Choice” promotion, and free WiFi in Norwegian Cruise Line’s “Free at Sea” promotion. Be the first to enjoy this amazing internet upgrade while cruising to destinations of interest! Give us a call today.

BIG step forward. Bravo, NCL, Regent, Oceania!!!
(No mention of cost, however. Hope it is reasonable.)

Wish Cunard could do something similar. Right now, Cunard WiFi is PAINfully slow and costs a fortune.

Bravo, NCL, Regent, Oceania!!!

Hi Liz,

For a typical Norwegian Cruise Line voyage of 1-12 days, the cost is $29.99 per day. For sailings of 13+ days, the cost is $24.99 per day. You can also buy time packages with 100 minutes for $75, or 250 minutes for $125. If you are referring to Olympic experience aboard the Getaway, you’ll need to contact the event organizer as that is a special chartered event, and may not feature standard pricing.
