This November a large group of our Cruise Web team were invited to attend the MSC Divina‘s first sailing in America. The ship sailed from Miami to Port Canaveral and the Bahamas on a 4-day itinerary. MSC decided that it was going to have one of their newest (she was built in 2012) and most exquisite ships sail year round in the Caribbean as part of the Italian company’s expansion outside of the Mediterranean.
The Divina has a couple of fun features that set her apart from most ships, including a 4D theater, a simulated formula one race car and a new partnership with a gelato company, Nutella, Martini and other great food vendors.
Aside from getting to spend a great long weekend together, our consultants really got time to experience MSC Cruises and check out the Divina. Here are their highlights:

I liked the Michael Jackson tribute show, all of the performers were terrific. I also met two bartenders on deck 14, Cesar and George. They made me a fruit smoothie that wasn’t on the menu, made my day.

The dining was my most interesting experience. I ended up trying food that I wouldn’t have tried if not for this cruise. For instance, I had the duck, I tried some watermelon soup, and I really enjoyed their white wine, despite being more of a beer person.

Such a beautiful ship! Location really does matter, my balcony was super-sized due to its unique location at the corner where the ship juts out a bit.

The ship was gorgeous. Very nice layout, fun bars, great shows. Watching a movie on the pool deck was relaxing and the pods on the solarium deck were private and a great place to unwind. I also enjoyed the way they brought in the Baked Alaska at dinner. They turned off all the lights in the dining room and then lit the desserts on fire. It was really neat.

I felt that the ship was absolutely gorgeous. The decor was phenomenal and visually depicts a true “Diva” as they properly describe her. She was kept spotless, and literally felt like a shimmering and spectacular sight to be seen.

The nightly shows were great, with high quality singing and dancing. I was particularly impressed with the Michael Jackson tribute show.
