Celebrity Cruises is partnering with a 54 Below, a trendy cabaret, to bring Tony Award-winning performers onboard their summer and fall cruises from Cape Liberty, New Jersey to Bermuda and back again. Sailings between now and October will feature a performance on board the Celebrity Summit, which was updated in 2012 to have the same […]
To go along with our theme of contemporary cruising, I picked a casual and fun dish that you can eat with your hands and is sure to make you smile. I tried these fish tacos on a Celebrity cruise from Vancouver to San Diego and they really do represent California – they are bright, crisp and fresh. It’s like sunshine on a plate. Since that cruise, I’ve made this recipe three times, and each time I switch it up a bit to try new things.
2012 was filled with lots of changes in the world and the cruise industry. We saw the debuts of the Celebrity Reflection, Oceania Riviera and the Carnival Breeze, and the river cruise market continued to grow. Here at The Cruise Web, we had the opportunity to sail the seven seas this year. Below, our team members share their best cruises of 2012. Feel free to use this list as a jumping off point when you start to think of where you’ll go in 2013!
One thing I keep coming back to about the Celebrity Reflection was how innovative it is. I just returned from a 3-day trip on this new ship and I know this is a ship that I will recommend to clients and cruisers. Celebrity is known for a very modern look with clean lines.
Pumpkin flavored food and drinks are all the rage this month. From pumpkin soy lattes to pumpkin pie flavored bread sticks, now is the time to get your fill of this orange fruit in all its glory. And don’t worry about missing out on the pumpkin goodness while at sea, because cruise lines’ chefs and bartenders come prepared with pumpkins, nutmeg and cinnamon to ensure you get the taste of fall, even if you’re sailing in the southern hemisphere, where it’s spring.
Ever imagine piping hot water streaming down upon you while you cruise along the serene ocean? Probably not, but Celebrity Cruises has, considering their new offer on the Celebrity Reflection’s Reflection Suite. This suite will boast the first of its kind all-glass shower, which is perched out over the ship’s edge.
Did you see that pivotal moment at the 1996 Olympics when the U.S. women’s gymnastic team pulled it together for the gold, or Michael Phelps pick up medal after medal after medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics? The Summer Olympics are only months away and even if you aren’t going to London you can still catch the games while on vacation because Celebrity Cruises has the exclusive rights to broadcast the Olympics live on its fleet.
While celebrating the highly anticipated stateside debut of its stylish Celebrity Silhouette – the fourth and newest member of Celebrity Cruises’ widely heralded Solstice Class fleet – Celebrity Cruises also is intensely focused on the fifth member of the class, Celebrity Reflection, which sets sail in the Fall of 2012. And when she does, she’ll boast all the attributes that have netted Celebrity’s Solstice Class the broadest array of honors in the brand’s 20-year history – including Celebrity’s #1 ranking in the large-ship category of the prestigious annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards – and a host of entirely new features, including a significantly expanded array of luxury suites.
