Holland America introduced a new vegetarian and vegan-friendly menu of 22-dishes including appetizers, salads, entrées and soups this month. The cruise line will also offer 30 new vegetarian options on their traditional menu.
The new menu will feature dishes that highlight many styles of cooking and will be inspired by cuisines from around the world. The new menu includes: Portobello Mushroom and Chipotle Quesadillas, Vietnamese Vegetable Spring Rolls, Curried Vegetable Empanadas and Baked Cheese Polenta with Mushrooms and Artichoke Hearts.
“By offering a complete vegetarian-only menu and the largest vegetarian selection at sea, we are ensuring that all guests can take part in an exceptional dining experience while cruising with Holland America Line,” said Richard Meadows, Holland America Line’s executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programs.
In addition to the new menu that will be available at no extra cost in all of Holland America’s dining rooms, there will be 30 vegetarian dishes added to the regular dining room menu. These dishes will also be offered on a rotating basis at the Lido buffet. That means that every dinner menu will now offer guests the option of one appetizer, one soup or salad and at least one vegetarian entrée each evening.
