This summer has been filled with lots of wonderful celebrations for our Cruise Web staff. One employee became a mom, another welcomed a second daughter to the world, and three tied the knot.
Brides and Groom
Senior Cruise Consultant Brandon Biss started out the wedding season by marrying his longtime girlfriend Meggie on May 25th in Pennsylvania. “I remember looking out with all of our friends and family in one room for us and feeling very lucky. It was a very emotional and humbling experience,” Brandon said. The two honeymooned in Hawaii where they visited Oahu, the Big Island, Maui and Lanai. A highlight of the trip for the two was taking surfing lessons and both being able to get up on their boards. “It was a great mix of relaxation, touring, and being active.”
Our first bride this summer was Heather Hansen (née Stewart), The Cruise Web’s Sales Assistant. Heather got married on August 10th to her fiance Luke Hansen. “It was awesome to have so many friends and family able to join us and help us celebrate,” she said. She met her husband in 2011 and they were engaged a year later. The two honeymooned in a cabin in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Our second bride, Human Resources Manager Stephanie Pierce, just got married this weekend, so you’ll have to check back in for more details. She is marrying her longtime boyfriend and fiancé Jake Kinnear in a reception near Baltimore. Stephanie and her new husband will be honeymooning in California with a stop in Disney Land and a drive up the coast to San Francisco.
Babies
Sales Manager Mike Harris welcomed his second daughter, Scarlett Estelle, into the world on July 27th. She was 6 lbs, 2 oz. According to Mike, the whole family is doing well and big sister Olivia is very happy to help out. “Olivia especially loves helping change the diapers and feeding Scarlett her bottles,” he said.
Assistant Manager of Client Services, Jaime Froehlich, became a mom when her daughter Eliana Gabrielle was born Aug. 14th at 11 a.m. on the dot. Eliana weighed 8 lbs. and was 21 inches long. Jaime said becoming a mom is definitely a huge adjustment and she’s still getting used to being on maternity leave and only having one-sided conversations. Each day she and her husband, Jason, are so overjoyed with Eliana’s new behaviors. “[It] just makes our hearts melt. For example, she’s started smiling as she’s falling asleep and she looks so precious! Sometimes her smiles are so big I can’t help but laugh at how stinkin’ cute she is,” Jaime exclaimed.
