If you haven’t heard yet, Quantum of the Seas is well on its way, and this week Royal Caribbean announced the first set of features designed to wow. The ship promises staterooms with roughly 9 percent more space and accommodations to please big families. What really takes the cake are the fun and exciting activities that this new ship will facilitate. Here are our top five features on Quantum of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean is growing by leaps and bounds. The contemporary cruise company announced that they are hard at work on a new Quantum Class of ships. The Quantum Class will consist of two ships, Quantum of the Seas, which will make its debut in the fall of 2014, and Anthem of the Seas, which will follow in the spring of 2015.

Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas is headed to Broadway. The ship will be featured on Sunday night’s live broadcast of the TONY Awards. The cast on the ship will perform one song from the Opal Theater as the ship sails in the middle of the Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean International’s new brand campaign is targeting New York-area commuters, both above and below ground, by taking over the 42nd Street line in Manhattan this February. As commuters are transported between Times Square and Grand Central Station, the award-winning cruise line is giving them a taste of the Royal experience with fully-branded shuttle cars supporting the cruise line’s new messaging. First rolled out in December 2011, the campaign is focused on reawakening consumers to the sights and sounds of the sea by communicating the decree, “The Sea is Calling. Answer it Royally.”
